Worthington Gallery was founded in 1970 by Eva-Maria Worthington, an art historian.
The specialization is German Expressionism, Blauer Reiter, Bauhaus, and Neue Sachlichkeit, etc. working with collectors and museums internationally. The gallery organizes international travelling exhibits and publishes catalogues. Also featured is Naive Art (self-taught).
Over the years, Worthington has curated and circulated many exhibits: Ernst Barlach, Max Beckmann, Otto Dix, Lyonel Feininger, George Grosz, Wassily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, Käthe Kollwitz, Ludwig Meidner, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, and others.
Worthington Gallery is a long time member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) and the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA).
